About Us

Skywings Falconry was conceived in 2017 during the process of relocating from Nepal to Spain where we ran the Parahawking Project for 16 years. Whilst the Parahawking Project was focussed mainly on paragliding with trained vultures and promoting vulture conservatiuon issues, Skywings Falconry was developed to focus more on Bird of Prey and Falconry Experiences here in Spain. Don't worry, we still offer Parahawking too.

Scott Mason is the founder of Skywings Falconry, he is an an award winning falconer and bird trainer with over 40 years experience.

Scott started training birds of prey from his homeland in Essex, England when he was just 10 years old. After many years practicing falconry as a hobby, Scott became a falconry instructor at the prestigious British School of Falconry, a one of a kind academy dedicated to the teaching of this ancient art.

In 2001 Scott moved to Nepal and established the The Parahawking Project, paragliding with trained vultures, and Himalayan Raptor Rescue, a center for the rescue and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned birds of prey. The Parahawking Project gained international acclaim and has been featured on the BBC, National Geographic and Discovery Channel as well as raising thousands for Vulture conservation projects in Nepal.

Scott with his wife and 2 children left Nepal in 2017 and moved to Spain where he brings his unique brand of falconry and raptor experiences and continues to inform and educated about the importance of birds of prey and vultures in our environment.
